As an Independent Educational Consultant, I am always advising my students to visit colleges since it is the best way to get a sense of a school. Of course, I know that my students can’t see every college they are interested in or that they’ll even decide to apply to. This is why it is so important to me to visit colleges myself—then I can share what I’ve learned with my students about the culture of the school, academics that are new or that the school is most proud of, what the facilities are like from science labs to dorms, and what the location is like. I spend time talking to current students asking questions from what did they do that weekend to what class do you think every student should try to take. After all, these are all aspects that go into a student’s college experience. So, this is why I visit between 20 to 40 colleges a year all over the country and even abroad.
